About Us

Welcome to West End Gallery...
Visitors to West End Gallery will find a wonderful selection of representational art. The Gallery features artwork by more than 50 exceptional artists, among them are, the late Thomas S. Buechner, Tom Gardner, GC Myers, Martin A. Poole, Bridget Bossart van Otterloo and Brian M. Hart. You will find changing exhibits of original art in a variety of mediums including oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastel, pen & ink, graphite, wood, bronze, glass and more! Upon receiving a warm welcome from a friendly, knowledgeable staff, you may wander through two floors of Gallery space at your leisure. We are located on Historic Market Street in Corning, NY.

To make art accessible to everyone by providing a relaxed and friendly environment in hopes to educate and inspire visitors to the Gallery while providing a professional venue that showcases many of the regions most talented artists.

Meet the staff Lin Gardner Owner & Director		Lin co-founded Corning Art & Frame and West End Gallery with Tom Gardner. The frame shop was founded in 1977 and sold in 1991. West End Gallery was founded in 1988. Lin is currently the Owner & Director of the Gallery. She has 34 years of sales, managerial, and marketing experience. She is very knowledgable about the arts and enjoys working with all of West End's artists, clients and visitors alike. Lin's love of the arts has been the driving force throughout her career. She has helped pave the way for countless artists and the arts community as a whole.
Jesse Gardner (and young) Asst Director/WEG Web Designer		Jesse, the daughter of West End Gallery's founders, Thomas & Linda Gardner, has 15 years of sales, customer service and managerial experience. As a result of being raised in the Gallery, quite literally, the arts community has become an integral part of her life. She designed the Gallery's original website in 2003 as well as the updated site in 2011. Jesse was Webmaster until 2008. West End has become the primary focus of her career and life-long passion for the arts. She looks forward to continuing the life she has decided to devote herself to.
Hedy Marlowe Gallery Assistant & Webmaster		Hedy joined the staff of West End Gallery in 2007. She is a valued member of the team at the gallery. Hedy previously worked at Corning Art & Frame and The Art Shop. She has over 10 years of professional framing, sales and customer service experience. She became Webmaster in 2008 and has done a fantastic job keeping the online exhibits, showcasings, events and artist pages up-to-date. Hedy is a great contributor to daily operations of the Gallery and assists in sales, record keeping, advertising and coordination of openings for West End Gallery's regularly scheduled exhibits.
Bridget Bossart van Otterloo Gallery Assistant & Artist		Bridget joined the staff of West End Gallery in 2007. She has proven to be an asset to the Gallery in many ways. She has done a stellar job balancing her workload at the Gallery while maintaining a full-time career as an artist. Bridget paints and teaches in Corning. She has a degree in Studio Art from Houghton College and worked as an apprentice & studio assistant to the late Thomas S. Buechner. Bridget has excelled early in her artistic career and has become one of the premier artists featured at West End Gallery. Click here to view examples of her work.
