Summer Feature Exhibit: Celebrating the Creative Journey
Artist’s Statement
“There is much to think about during the quiet moments of reflection. This has been the primary thrust of my landscape work. The contrast of turbulent skies versus unscathed foregrounds, light that is exposed by the dark revealing slices of serenity, distant horizons that speak of journeys and destinations unknown, and of course the movement and reflections of water that compel us towards tranquility. These things fill the images that I have been drawn to and share.”
“The process of painting has always been a challenging and rewarding experience. I am intrigued by many subjects. The contrasts of objects, figures and shapes have become the starting points to develop a dialogue of ideas which have interested me, whether they may be serious or whimsical.”
